Now that the year is winding down, it’s a great time to take a look at your website and the SEO goals you’ve set for yourself. Even if you’ve reached those goals, don’t stop there, and don’t wait until the beginning of the year to set new goals. You should be constantly working on improving your website SEO.
Keep looking over your basic keywords; where can you improve? If you have placed awkward keywords throughout your website, make sure to remove them or place them where the reader won’t stumble on the keyword. Place them in the headings of your content, or naturally within the written content itself. Try to match your page titles and descriptions to what your customers are searching for. Also, don’t forget about Meta descriptions. Create creative Meta descriptions to help your business website stand out to the public.
We all know that content is king. But upgrading that content is just as important. If you want to rank in the best, you’ve got to keep that content fresh. Add video and new photos. Update your services and products page and make sure your hours of operation are readily found. If you have specials running for the holiday seasons, make sure you keep updating that information on your website. You don’t need to overdo anything, just make sure your customers know what to expect from you and deals that may be going on.
If you haven’t already, you might want to create a Google Analytics account. With Google Analytics you can track how well specific pages of your website are doing and can then change what’s needed by each page performance. There are many amazingly cool things Analytics can help you with. Anything from demographics of your customer base to how well your keywords are doing.
