It’s yet another work day and you are feeling groggy. Have you thought about creating a routine that could increase your focus and get things that need to be done, faster? It is important to establish some sort of routine that will benefit you and set you up for success at the beginning of the day. Here is an idea of a routine you could potentially adapt to your life:
- When you arrive at work, first thing first, check those emails. This will help you compile a to do list for the day. While you are checking these emails, respond immediately to the clients, customers or coworkers. Once you are caught up with these, you can start on your to-do list. This may consist of returning calls, following up with coworkers on projects or starting something new.
- Organize your to-do list from the most important to the least important. By doing this you can start from the top and work your way down.
- Start completing your to-do list. Retrieve answers to any questions you may have to complete each task. This way you will not forget about one thing before moving onto the next.
These three steps will make your day run smoothly and efficiently. If you commit and continue to do these each and every day, you will not only have a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day but you will also have established a routine for success.
