In our ongoing efforts to help local businesses grow, we are excited to announce some recent upgrades to our local search platform, localsolution.com. There are a few aesthetic changes, updates to our advertising packages, as well as some structural changes to provide a more search engine friendly site.
CHECK OUT SOME IMPROVED FEATURES:
LISTING ENHANCEMENT PACKAGES: While a business can still enhance their listing with logo, photos, video, and links to their print directory ad and menu, we’ve simplified the advertising options from four packages to three. Businesses can stand out from their competition and receive higher ranking with the purchase of either a Premium Logo, Premium Photo or Premium Video package. Businesses are classed under the same headings as the print directory and these packages will appear when a user searches for any of the headings in the city the business is located in.
ONLINE ADS: Businesses can receive greater visibility and expand their coverage by purchasing a larger sized Display Box or a NEW Top Banner ad. These premium ads are purchased by heading and will appear in all of the cities covered by the print directory.
PEOPLE SEARCH: As one of the few sites to offer residential search, we are also applying an upgrade to our People Search section. This area, however, is momentarily still under construction until mid-May as we make the final changes. Until then, nationwide data will not be searchable, but rest assured users are still able to access your local data in the towns in which you provide service.
IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE:
PROFILE PAGES: To bring more focus to all the great content that our advertisers provide, we’ve updated the layout to specifically highlight photos, videos, ads and logos. Users can also scroll down to read through descriptions of the business, hours of operation, reviews and see if the business has a coupon. Users can also now share the businesses information on their own social platforms.
RESPONSIVE DESIGN: In addition to the localsolution mobile apps for iPhone and Android, the localsolution.com desktop version is now built with responsive design. The content automatically scales and adjusts for more user-friendly viewing on all devices.
